An answer

Can you do the SEO for my existing website?

We will audit any website, whoever built it. The monthly search work is different: we only take that on for sites More Than Normal built, because we will not promise results on code, speed and structure we do not control.

The £450 SEO audit works on any website, on any platform. What the SEO audit includes

The audit, yes. Always

The £450 SEO audit does not care who built your site or what it runs on. WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, something a developer wrote for you in 2019. We look at what is there and we tell you what we find.

That includes telling you the fixes you can make yourself for nothing, on the platform you already have.

The monthly work, only on sites we built

This is the part people find annoying, so here is the actual reason.

The monthly work is where we take responsibility for an outcome over time. We can only do that where we control the things the outcome depends on: how fast the pages load, how cleanly the code can be read, how the content is structured, and how quickly a change can be made.

On a site we did not build, we control almost none of that. We can advise. We cannot fix. Six months later the position has not moved, we have both spent money, and the honest answer is that the foundation was never going to carry it.

Charging you every month for that would be selling you a result we knew we could not reach.

What that leaves you with

Three real options, and none of them require a new website today.

  1. Take the audit and act on it yourself. Every report ends with the fixes that cost nothing and need no developer. Plenty of people stop here, and that is a complete outcome.
  2. Take the audit and give it to whoever maintains your site. It is written to be handed over. You own it.
  3. Build a new site, then take the monthly work. Only if the audit says the structure itself is the limit, and only if the numbers work for you.

When the platform really is the problem

Sometimes it is not a preference. A site built on a page builder with thirty plugins can be made better, but it cannot usually be made fast, and speed is one of the few things Google measures directly rather than infers.

The audit will say so plainly, with the measurements attached, so you can judge it rather than take our word for it.
